Sylvie Bleker-van Eyk appointed chair Supervisory Committee WODC
In February 2017, Sylvie C. Bleker-van Eyk, Professor of Compliance & Integrity Management at VU Business School, was appointed chair of the WODC (Research and Documentation Centre) Supervisory Committee for monitoring policy to combat money laundering.
In December 2016, Sylvie Bleker-van Eyk was also appointed by the Minister of Security and Justice as a member of the Police Central Works Council Committee of Inquiry.
Bleker-van Eyk (1960) studied International Law and Constitutional Law at the Catholic University of Brabant. She then spent 11 years at Utrecht University, where she completed her doctorate on the subject of codes of conduct for multinationals.
Since 2011, she has been a programme director at VU Amsterdam, in the postgraduate programme in Compliance & Integrity Management. She has also held several positions in the world of business and currently works as a director at Deloitte Risk Services.
