Biografie

I joined the Logistics group of the department of Economics and Business Administration at VU Amsterdam as an Assistant Professor in 2014. In 2012, I received my PhD in Operations Research from the School of Industrial Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). I have a Master degree in Industrial Engineering and Bachelor degree in Mathematics and Physics. Prior to joining VU Amsterdam, I was postdoctoral researcher at TU/e from 2012 to 2014. My research focuses on modeling and solving real-life problems arising in transportation. In particular, I am interested in developing exact methods for variant transportation problems inspired from practice. I also have several years of experience as a consultant and algorithms expert. My research results have been successfully implemented and tested in several projects with industry, and published in leading academic journals: Transportation Science, Computers and Operations Research and the International Journal of Production Economics.
